Bright red, 2" blooms arrive in profusion from March until May. Each flower lasts for several weeks, opening every morning after sunrise and closing at sundown. The iridescent star-shaped blooms are borne on the ends of the stems similar to Christmas cactus. Easter Cactus like filtered light but no direct sunlight. They also need well-drained soil, moderate watering and fertilization. Keep plants cool and moist while in bloom to extend the flowering season. These plants are budded and will bloom this spring.

Anonymous This plant arrived so much larger than I was expecting. It is positively bushy. I bought this one out of season and on sale, so I know it won't bloom until next spring, but that is fine because the foliage is lush and thick, with more growth points than I can count. I very much enjoy the way that the new foliage grows in with a slightly orange tinge, which gives the plants great character. It arrived in a 4" pot, and it was clear it was ready to be potted up to a 6" pot. It was starting to become slightly pot bound (probably why it was on sale), but not too bad. It completely fills out its new 6" pot, and its foliage looks vibrant and robust. I'm looking forward to it's flowers next spring (I'm sure it will be absolutely spectacular), but honestly, even without the flowers this is a fantastic foliage plant.
